Birthday Celebrations
Parents are always welcome to come in and read a story to the class for their child's birthday. Just email me and I'd be happy to work around a time that works best for your schedule.
Since Coonley is a healthy school, edible treats are not permitted to be passed out. In lieu of treats, students are allowed to pass out small non-edible items (i.e. pencils, stickers...) if they'd like.
For students with summer birthdays, they get to choose a school "birth date" as a day we celebrate them. Again, parents are welcome to come in a read on their selected school birthday.
